All we need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and we're fine.

The funny thing about life is that sometimes you just gotta let the waves come to you. And that's exactly how Pray for Surf came to be. Our story starts in August of 2021, in the Sierra Foothills, where we source most of our fruit for our Rosé each year. We didn't realize it then, but we were picking some of the most incredible Mourvèdre we had ever come across.

The thing we have found about Mourvèdre is that if you give it enough sun, heat, and water, it produces intensely flavored fruit with excellent acidity and beautiful color. And lucky for us, our friends at Sierra de Montserrat Vineyard know exactly what the fuck they are doing when it comes to growing Mourvèdre.

Our original plan was to blend it in with our Wild Child Rosé, but after pressing the fruit and tasting the juice for the first time, our winemaking team fought hard for this to stand on its own as a limited-production Rosé. After cutting in just a little bit of Grenache and Cinsault, we nearly effortlessly found ourselves with the best Rosé we had ever made.

There are so many things that set this Rosé apart. The first thing is the color, with a sun-kissed golden hue that is unlike any Rosé we have ever produced. Next, aromas of ripe cherries, rose petals, and herbs flow out of the glass. Once you take a sip, intense flavors of freshly cut strawberries and wild raspberries wash across your tongue with notes of honeydew and a refreshing minerality. Seriously, the finish on this is so satisfying.

Spending a lot of time in small surf towns, we always loved the "Pray for Surf" mantra. There's just something so simple, peaceful, and spiritual about praying for waves and letting them come to you on their own terms. We saw a lot of parallels between our philosophy on winemaking and how this Rosé came to be.

For the label, we worked with one of our oldest, and closest friends, surf photographer Marco Arellano. Y'all may remember him from The Art of Surfing wine from a few years back, but Marco has made a name for himself capturing surf culture across the North Shore of Oahu with epic, naturalistic imagery unlike anything else out there. He captured surfer Alexia Jeri patiently staring out on the horizon, waiting for the next swell to roll in and bless her board.

Pray for Surf is our most proud achievement in Rosé winemaking and is available in limited quantities for a limited time.
