Our 2014 “Suede” can best be described as a refined and balanced, yet powerful and racy Cabernet Sauvignon. It is highlighted by bright fruit, soft tannins, juicy acidity, and succulent, silky textures. On the nose, complex aromas of dusty berry, exotic perfume, dark chocolate, spices, mint and hints of black truffle are interwoven into layers of blackberry, cherries, cassis and smoky cedar on the palate. While this vintage is showing extraordinarily well in its youth, it will continue to age gracefully and reveal added complexities over the next 10 to 15 years. And as always, a wine of this magnitude will benefit greatly from at least 40 minutes of decanting — whether you enjoy it today or years from now.
